KarnatakaTaekwondo
Discipline. Precision. Indomitable Spirit.
Taekwondo builds more than athletes — it builds respect, character and an indomitable spirit that carries far beyond the mat.
A society registered under the Karnataka Society Registration Act, established for the promotion of Taekwondo throughout Karnataka. From a single training hall at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka Taekwondo coordinates a state-wide network of affiliated clubs, coaches and referees under the Karnataka Olympic Association, the Sports Authority of Karnataka, and India Taekwondo.
13 principles, one discipline.
Respect
For instructors, opponents, and the discipline itself — the foundation every practitioner builds from.
Courtesy
Conduct on and off the mat that honours those around you.
Goodness
Character built through training, carried beyond it.
Trustworthiness
The word of a practitioner should be as reliable as their technique.
Loyalty
To club, to state, to the values of the sport.
Humility
Strength without arrogance — the mark of a true athlete.
Courage
To step onto the mat, to compete, to fail and rise again.
Patience
Mastery is earned in years, not moments.
Integrity
Doing right when no one is watching the scoreboard.
Perseverance
The discipline to return to the dojang, session after session.
Self-Control
Power held in reserve, deployed with precision.
Indomitable Spirit
The will that carries an athlete past every limit placed before them.
Responsibility
Toward all forms of life — the philosophy's final and widest circle.
A network across Karnataka.
From the headquarters at Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru, 45 affiliated clubs and district associations carry Taekwondo across 16 districts of the state.
The people behind every belt.
